Fotografixx LLC is a Japanese photography studio founded by William Ishiwata. In Japan, women are often subject to unequal treatment, particularly in the photography industry where female models are sometimes objectified by male photographers. Fotografixx LLC creates a supportive environment for individuals to experience the transformative power of photography. By creating this space for individuals, Fotografixx LLC aims to free people from the constraints of societal norms and empower them to see themselves in a new and authentic light, fostering a sense of wholeness and self-confidence.
About the project
Fotografixx LLC approached me for a brand revamp and video creation to showcase the process of their photography sessions. To address their needs, I created a brand video and recaps of the photo sessions to convey the happiness and freedom of the models. However, the footage was taken prior to the project's start and was not professionally filmed, which posed a challenge. I needed to find an angle to tell their story while editing creatively to cover the footage's imperfections. Despite the obstacles, I showcased the unique qualities of Fotografixx LLC and visually engaged their audience.
